A GUIDELINE of templates was created FOR ON-AIR PRESENTATION, OFF AIR GRAPHICS AND A signage system THAT TRAVELLED ACROSS ALL DEVICES.

W&B created numerous templates built on a simple structure to allow Al Jazeera News, to deliver multiple formats of information and stories on air. Fixed bottom bar and core colours unified the previously fragmented on-air brand.
NOW, NEXT, LATER
Continuity graphics for News were created to support a new schedule structure. W&B also delivered continuity templates for Al Jazeera Breaking News alerts, available on other broadcasters and channels.
FEATURES
Designs and style guides were created to ensure treatments of supporting information graphics followed the structure. From maps to election results.
All graphics and style guides were delivered within 3 weeks with a rapid team, enabling Al Jazeera to roll out a new on air system within 2 months.
DEVICES
Using the global simple grid structure, we carried content modules across devices and on air. Templates were created for all news strands, and content blocks on all platforms.
BRAND INTEGRATION
We repurposed existing on air-idents for use within devices to create continuity of brand, and production value off TV.
Imagery and animatic sequnces ensured a televisual style on any screen size.
REGIONAL TEMPLATES
Al Jazeera content is global and has to handle multiple languages, picture formats, character sizes and conditions. All of our templates supported the crucial shapeshifting and manipulation regional products require, while at all times retaining the core brand essence. Some required slightly different layouts, but all templates were delivered within one month.
