SIMPLE USER EXPERIENCE
Loop News was an experience that had grown quickly, but needed to have a simple, smoother route to content. Driven by Local News, LOOP had to have an interface that would work in different territories, in different languages and with different content requirements in different bureaus.
We designed a simple, fast, and light application to deliver world class news across region.
VIDEO FIRST
As a mobile news provider, video is at the heart of the solution we designed. Today's audience requires video stories and content at all times. We created a content taxonomy to push video to the fore.
GLOBAL NAVIGATION
As Loop iteratively develops and grows, it was crucial that we created a simple 'Global Navigation' that would allow editorial staff to curate content, supplements and regional offerings without impacting the core templates of the application.
VIDEO GALLERY
We proposed a video first approach to news, bringing more of what Loop's audience love. Again with simplicity at the heart of the solution we created an experience that separates video out into a singular channel for ease of use.
EXCLUSIVE CONTENT
We proposed that Loop should become the only source for news internationally or locally. Deeper, richer stories. Social awareness driving local galleries, documentaries and picture led navigation with Local content at the top a core USP of the design. Full integration with social media and archive becoming a core offering of the service.
COMMUNITY
Citizen news is as important as editorial news, and in the Caribbean people are driven by their communities and expressing their opinions on matters of impact . Simple engagement widgets enable Loop's audience to engage and discuss topics at hand.
